This Privacy Policy explains what information InstaPVStory (“InstaPVStory,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects when you use pv-story.com (the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have. InstaPVStory is a free tool for viewing publicly available Instagram stories and highlights without logging in. We built it around a simple rule: don’t collect more than we need.

1. Information we collect

When you use InstaPVStory, we handle two categories of information:

Information you provide

The public Instagram username you type in to look up stories or highlights. We treat this the same way a search engine treats a search query — it’s used to process your request, not to build a profile of you.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our server and hosting infrastructure automatically log standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and the date and time of your visit. This is common web server behavior used for security, troubleshooting, and understanding aggregate traffic — it is not used to identify you personally.

2. Information we don’t collect

We want to be equally clear about what we don’t do:

• We never ask for your Instagram username, password, or login credentials.
• We do not require you to create an account with InstaPVStory.
• We do not ask for your name, email address, or phone number to use the core viewer.
• We do not collect payment information, because the core service is free.
• We do not notify the Instagram account you search, and we don’t store a record tying a visitor to a specific username they looked up.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

InstaPVStory may use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep the site functioning correctly (for example, remembering basic site preferences or supporting security checks). We do not currently run third-party advertising or tracking cookies. If that ever changes — for instance, if we add privacy-respecting analytics to understand which features people use — we will update this policy first so you can see exactly what was added and why.

4. How we use information

We use the limited information described above to:

• Operate and deliver the core viewing functionality you requested.
• Keep the Service secure and prevent abuse (for example, detecting unusual automated traffic).
• Diagnose technical problems and improve site performance.
• Understand aggregate, anonymized usage trends so we know which parts of the Service are actually useful.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use the usernames you search to build advertising profiles.

5. Data retention

We keep standard server logs only for as long as reasonably necessary for security and diagnostic purposes, after which they are routinely purged or aggregated. Because we don’t maintain user accounts, there is no persistent personal profile of you for us to retain in the first place.

6. Sharing and third parties

We do not sell or rent your information to third parties. We may share limited technical information with service providers who help us run our infrastructure (such as our hosting provider), strictly to operate the Service, and only under obligations to protect that information. We may also disclose information if required by law, such as in response to a valid legal request.

InstaPVStory is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Instagram or its parent company, Meta Platforms, Inc. Any public content displayed through InstaPVStory belongs to the original Instagram account holders. 7. Children’s privacy

InstaPVStory is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address it.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding any personal data associated with you, such as the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of that data. Because InstaPVStory does not maintain user accounts or persistent profiles, there is typically very little tied to an individual visitor to act on — but if you have a specific privacy question or request, contact us using the details below and we’ll do our best to help.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the Service evolves. When we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
